Toastmasters “Writing a Compelling Blog” Project

At present, I am a member of Central Toastmasters Club #2277, based in Worcester, Mass.   Being a part of this club since 2015 has really improved my communication skills, and through it, I have met some amazing people.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.

The Toastmasters educational system has a curriculum with projects on various types of speeches and other communication tools.  There are hundreds of these projects – here are some examples of projects which I have especially enjoyed:

  • Researching and Presenting
  • Creating Effective Visual Aids
  • Question-and-Answer Session
  • Using Presentation Software
  • Moderate a Panel Discussion

There is a huge variety of these projects – putting the work into self-improvement in this way is worth the time and effort. Plus, it’s fun.

I started this blog as one of these assignments  –  “Writing a Compelling Blog”, a Level 4 Elective Project

The project assignment is below – – you can follow along if you choose! Please do  – I will need feedback in a month or two after I have completed the project and given a short presentation about the experience.
